🎄 What Is Christmas?

1. Celebration of the Birth of Jesus

ree

Christmas commemorates the moment when God became flesh and was born in Bethlehem from a virgin named Mary, fulfilling Old Testament prophecies (Isaiah 7:14; Micah 5:2).

Jesus was born to:

  • Bring light to the world

  • Save humanity from sin

  • Reveal God’s love and grace

(Luke 2:10–11: “Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is the Messiah, the Lord.”)

🌟 2. A Message of Hope

Christmas reminds us that:

  • God fulfills His promises

  • God is close to us

  • His love takes human form: Emmanuel — God with us (Matthew 1:23)

🤲 3. An Act of Humility

ree

Although Jesus is King, He was born:

  • In a manger

  • In a humble setting

  • Showing that His Kingdom is not earthly but spiritual

His birth teaches us about:

  • Humility

  • Service

  • Simplicity

🕊 4. More Than a Date — A Personal Invitation

For Christians, Christmas is remembering that:

Jesus was not only born in Bethlehem — He wants to be born in every heart.

It is not just a historical event, but a living reality:

  • Jesus is light in the darkness

  • Jesus is peace in the midst of the storm

  • Jesus is hope for the one who feels lost
